The Glencoe Golf Club hosted 60 ladies for a golf tournament and luncheon to benefit Play for P.I.N.K. on July 31st. Play for P.I.N.K. (Prevention, Immediate diagnosis, New technology, Knowledge) is a non-for-profit organization that supports thousands of volunteers nationwide as they raise funds for research to speed advances in breast cancer detection, treatment and survivorship. The Play for P.I.N.K event at the Glencoe Golf Club raised over $5,000 through donations, hole sponsorships and a raffle; 100% of the money that was raised will go to the BCRF, Breast Cancer Research Foundation. “We are elated with the outcome of the event and the generosity of the supporters in our community. The Glencoe Women’s Association has been hosting a fundraiser benefitting breast cancer for the past 25 years and this year was by far the most successful in the amount of money raised. Through our donation we are helping to fund research to give people with breast cancer longer lives and better outcomes” said Stella Nanos the General Manager of the Glencoe Golf Club. The Glencoe Golf Club has raised over $6,000 in 2018 for outside non-for-profit organizations through golf events.
