Bird lovers enjoyed a bird walk today that was cosponsored with Friends of the Green Bay Trail. Expert birder, Tim Joyce of Wild birds unlimited from Glenview, Illinois led the group and helped identify over 20 species of birds including the Blackburnian Warbler, Indigo Bunting, Hairy woodpecker, and Orchard Oriole. The Glencoe Golf Club is a certified Audubon Sanctuary and through its sustainability practices is a safe haven for migrating birds.
